CHARLES BOOKER ANNOUNCES STATEWIDE “KENTUCKY OVER POLITICS” TOUR
With Less Than Four Weeks Until Midterm Election, Booker for the Commonwealth Hits the Road
LOUISVILLE, KY — Last Monday, Charles Booker appeared on Kentucky Education Television’s “Kentucky Tonight” for what should have been the first general election debate in Kentucky’s U.S. Senate race. Instead, Booker spoke solo to the key issues facing Kentuckians, as opponent Andy Barr neglected to appear on a program filmed in his home district.
This interview marked one of the first stops on the Booker campaign’s “Kentucky Over Politics” tour. With less than a month before the midterm elections, the tour will reach voters in every region across Kentucky, from Pikeville to Paducah. Booker will connect with voters one-on-one and participate in candidate forums, meet and greets, campus events, church visits, and more.
This comes after the release of Booker’s “Kentucky First” policy agenda, which outlines a platform that prioritizes people over politics and common sense over corruption.
Right now, Kentuckians are struggling. The cost of food, gas, electric bills, housing, and health care keeps rising. Rural hospitals are closing. Unregulated AI data centers threaten our family farmers, small businesses, and our communities. Billions of dollars are going to fight senseless wars overseas instead of investing right here in Kentucky.
Charles Booker is running for Senate because Kentuckians know that Booker shows up. With the Kentucky Over Politics tour, he will remind voters that they can have a leader in the U.S. Senate who will show up for them, deliver on his promises, and fight corruption every single day he’s in office.
“The most important of campaigning, and one that my opponent neglects far too frequently, is connecting directly with voters,” said Charles Booker. “Getting to hear their stories, the struggles they’re facing, and what this election means to them, has been one of the great privileges of my life. This tour is an opportunity to do that all across Kentucky. We’re just getting started, and I can’t wait to push harder than ever in the campaign’s final weeks.”
The campaign will plan to share a weekly list of public events with press.
