ICYMI: CHARLES BOOKER MAKES HEADLINES IN FINAL CAMPAIGN STRETCH

LOUISVILLE, KY — As the campaign enters its final stretch, Charles Booker, Kentucky’s Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, spent September in the headlines, both locally and nationally. The month began with the release of a new poll from Global Strategy Group indicating a single-digit race between Booker and Republican opponent Andy Barr. The results, especially notable in a state that President Trump won by over 30 points in 2024, earned local and national coverage. Shortly thereafter, Booker traveled to Washington, D.C., for the Congressional Black Caucus' 55th Annual Legislative Conference. His trip included appearances on leading news programs like Meet the Press NOW and The Lead with Jake Tapper, as well as meetings with leading print publications, several of which have already translated into coverage. At home, Booker has been traveling across the state, meeting with voters and discussing the issues most impacting their lives. Upon Mitch McConnell’s return to the Senate, he highlighted the need for all Kentuckians to receive the same quality of healthcare that he enjoyed. Just last week, he joined the Kentucky Tenant Union and stood with the residents of Robinwood Park Apartments, after Andy Barr failed to act on their concerns about a landlord who refused to pay the water and sewer bills. With less than a month until election day, Booker will ramp up his rallies and appearances. He will give several in-depth sit-down interviews with local newspapers and broadcast stations across Kentucky, as well as make additional national broadcast appearances, as he continues to spread his message to voters and ramp up get-out-the-vote efforts.
