ICYMI: CHARLES BOOKER MAKES HEADLINES IN FINAL WEEKS
LOUISVILLE, KY — Charles Booker, Kentucky’s Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, kicked off the campaign’s final four weeks with a fresh jolt, making headlines statewide and nationally.
Yesterday, Charles appeared on Fox News’ “The Sunday Briefing” directly ahead of opponent Andy Barr, where he spoke with Jacqui Heinrich and overviewed his “Kentucky First” policy agenda.
Last Monday should have been the first general election debate between Booker and Barr. Instead, Booker appeared solo on Kentucky Education Television’s “Kentucky Tonight” after Barr refused to participate.
Booker followed this with a trip to Washington, D.C., where he met with key stakeholders, interviewed with top-tier print reporters, and appeared on ABC News Live and CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper.”
Upon returning to Kentucky, Booker immediately hit the trail and, among a number of other events, joined the Kentucky Tenant Union on Friday for a press conference with tenants in Andy Barr’s district whose landlord had attempted to evict them for displaying pro-union signage and who Barr had refused to assist.
In the coming weeks, Booker will continue his barnstorm tour across Kentucky, connecting directly with voters on the issues that matter most while maintaining his active presence in local and national press.
