ICYMI: Charles Booker Attracts Growing Media Coverage as Spotlight Grows on Kentucky Senate Race
LOUISVILLE, KY — Charles Booker, Kentucky’s Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, has continued to draw media attention as eyes increasingly turn toward the race to replace Mitch McConnell in the Senate.
President Trump’s rally in Northern Kentucky on Saturday was clear evidence of this. Charles shared statements and spoke with media both in the lead-up and aftermath, detailing how the President’s visit and the attacks in his speech indicate the tightness of the race.
Additionally, Booker participated in wide-ranging feature interviews with prominent national and Kentucky outlets. These included in-studio appearances on both Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” and The Breakfast Club, as well as in-depth conversations with The Root and Spectrum 1 News, and NewsNation.
As part of his commitment to the young people of Kentucky, Booker is also making himself available to student reporters at schools like the University of Louisville and Murray State University.
Booker also received additional coverage of his campaign events, including a meet-and-greet with voters in Hopkins County, as well as his thoughts on key issues like flock cameras.
The media also previewed the sole debate of the Kentucky U.S. Senate race, which will air tonight at 8pm ET on WKYT. Following what will surely be a strong performance against opponent Andy Barr, Booker plans to get back out on the trail Tuesday morning and continue spreading his message to Kentucky voters.
