ICYMI: CHARLES BOOKER BUILDS MOMENTUM AS KENTUCKY’S SENATE RACE HEATS UP
LOUISVILLE, KY — Throughout August, Charles Booker, Kentucky’s Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, has made the rounds of both local and national press. This wave of coverage has further established him as a formidable contender to flip this Senate seat as he leads a campaign focused on improving the lives of all working people, tackling affordability, and addressing corruption in Washington, D.C.
He has participated in a wide range of interviews, speaking to the issues most important to Kentuckians. This includes addressing the threat of data centers to working-class people, along with that of President Trump’s latest round of tariffs. He received top-tier and feature coverage for his comments on ICE’s detainment of Louisville resident Armelle Bondonga. Booker has also been a leading voice calling for transparency and accountability following Mitch McConnell’s disappearance from the US Senate, highlighting the disparity between the healthcare and paid sick leave McConnell enjoys and the experiences of everyday people across the state.
Booker has also maintained an active statewide presence within the political speaking circuit and broader local community. He delivered a rousing speech at the Kentucky Democrats’ annual dinner alongside Governors Andy Beshear and Gretchen Whitmer and appeared again with Beshear at the Franklin County Democrats’ inaugural Capital Democratic Rally, connecting with local press at both events.
While Booker’s recent media coverage spans a variety of subjects, his comments are unified by their focus on the topics most impacting Kentuckians, underscoring his single-minded dedication to helping the people of this great state thrive.
As Booker’s momentum grows, the country is turning its attention to the Kentucky Senate race, and he looks forward to continuing to share his message as the campaign’s final stretch nears.
