Andy Barr’s Desperation Grows with Plane Tour and Lie-Filled Mail Pieces

LOUISVILLE, KY — A picture is worth a thousand words, and in recent days, Andy Barr has given Kentuckians several pictures showing us all just how desperate he’s getting in the waning hours of the U.S. Senate race in Kentucky.

On Sunday afternoon, Andy Barr was photographed standing in front of a private jet he’s using in a last-ditch effort to shore up votes.

Flight records for N405VJ, the same plane Andy Barr was photographed standing beside, show it made several stops throughout Kentucky after arriving in Lexington on Saturday afternoon. According to publicly available data, N405VJ has made at least 13 stops in Kentucky since October 31.

The picture of Barr standing by an airplane wasn’t the only image Kentuckians saw this week. Barr also sent mail pieces to Kentuckians, including registered independents and Democrats, that make outlandish claims about his record, with claims that he’s helped Medicare and Social Security, while conveniently ignoring his votes for $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, or full support for reckless tariffs, which have sent costs skyrocketing for Kentucky’s family farmers, small businesses, and working families. It doesn’t mention his full-throated support for endless war in Iran, which has sent the cost of gas and diesel skyrocketing.

Andy Barr can lie about his record all he wants, but his record is clear: He puts corruption before the people of Kentucky. He supports policies that have made everything more expensive, and he has no idea how to lower costs, so he’s lying.

Andy Barr is crisscrossing Kentucky by plane and sending fib-riddled mail pieces because he’s panicking. He knows full well that he has offered no real solutions to the challenges Kentuckians face and that Democrats, Republicans, and independents are rejecting the status quo politics he’s trying to sell. Voters are backing Charles Booker because they know Charles will fight for the people of Kentucky in Washington, D.C., by putting common sense over corruption and people over politics. Kentucky is sick of the status quo that’s left them struggling to put food on the table. Booker has the solutions, and Barr has nothing. That’s why he’s blowing his campaign cash on a plane.

During Kentucky’s short early voting window, voters turned out in droves, with significantly higher turnout than in 2022. It’s a clear sign that voters are enthusiastic about the chance to finally replace Mitch McConnell in the Senate, and Charles Booker has momentum heading into Election Day. Booker will continue meeting with voters, with a series of stops planned throughout Election Day in the run-up to election night festivities.
