Over the years, I have traveled across Kentucky and met with small business owners. They are the backbone of our economy, but too often Washington ignores their concerns. Congress writes rules for big corporations and leaves Main Street to pay the price. Kentuckians are already hurting, and our small businesses need a voice and advocate in Washington.
That’s why when I get to the Senate, I am going to fight the destructive tariffs that have jacked up costs for small businesses, expand access to lending services from the Small Business Administration and community lenders, especially for our rural and underserved communities, to help get future small business owners the startup capital they need. We’re also going to stand up to big corporations, who’ve rigged the system in their favor and have tried to squash small businesses by gobbling up the competition, monopolizing the supply chain, and bought Washington politicians like Andy Barr.
That changes under my watch.
