Our rural hospitals are a lifeline for Kentuckians. No one in the Commonwealth should be more than a few minutes away from an urgent care or an emergency room. My opponent, Andy Barr, doesn’t seem to care. He voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill, which devastated Medicaid funding. Now, at least 35 of our rural hospitals are at risk of closing.
With a single vote, Andy Barr told our family, friends, and neighbors that their health didn’t matter. I will reverse the damage Andy Barr has done to our rural communities, because every Kentuckian matters. We will reverse the One Big Beautiful Bill’s cuts to Medicaid and extend funding to our rural hospitals. We’ll also expand federal investments to support the next generation of rural doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals.
