From the hood to the holler, Kentucky is our home, and no matter where in our Commonwealth you call home, you should be able to build a good life. Many of our roads, bridges, and water systems need serious repair or replacement. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (that Andy Barr voted against) provided more than $1.5 billion in federal funding to help rebuild the Brent Spence Bridge between Northern Kentucky and Ohio.
The Brent Spence Bridge should be the beginning of a critical infrastructure overhaul. That’s why I’ll fight for every federal dollar to repair or rebuild roads and bridges, including long-delayed projects. We’re going to finish bringing broadband internet access to our rural communities, so that every home, farm, and small business can get online.
We’re also going to make sure every Kentuckian has access to clean drinking water and strengthen our flood and storm resilience programs. Of course, Kentucky workers will build every one of these projects and earn good union wages. Because when I say Kentucky First, I mean it.
