Every time we go to the gas station or grocery store, we feel it. Gas keeps rising. The cost of living is through the roof. A paycheck that used to cover gas and keep food on the table is stretched thin. Kentuckians are paying an enormous price for the administration’s destructive tariffs and trade wars. The war in Iran was the rotten cherry on top.
Tariffs and trade wars are nothing more than hidden taxes on Kentucky. They’re raising prices for our farmers and small businesses and inviting retaliation against our storied bourbon industry.
When I get to Washington, I will introduce a joint resolution revoking the emergency declaration the administration used to launch trade wars and jack up costs for Kentuckians.
