Position summary

Booker for the Commonwealth is seeking a motivated and organized Political Mobilization Intern based in Louisville to support the campaign's political program through in person organizing and supporting department operations. Working closely with the Political Director and Political & Mobilization Coordinator, this individual will support in the execution of the campaign's voter contact strategy.

Primary responsibilities

  • Assist with endorsement tracking, stakeholder engagement, community events, and surrogate requests when assigned.
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment and management in the Louisville HQ.
  • Assist with managing and delivering material such as literature and yard signs when assigned.
  • Support internal political department organization for emails and calls made to stakeholders such as elected officials, unions and labor organizations, advocacy groups, community organizations, faith leaders, and local supporters.
  • Assist with drafting for a bi-weekly political newsletter.
  • Assist with the Coalitions organizing program.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, project management, relationship-building, and communication skills.
